Obsolete organochlorine pesticides (OSPs) are currently prohibited as persistent organic pollutants that contaminate the environment. If undisposed, they continue to pollute soil and water, accumulate in food chain harm plants, animals human body. The aim of study was assess water pollution around storehouses banned OSPs their possible genotoxic effect. four villages near Almaty, Kazakhstan were investigated.
